Rosemary Patey
Assistant Headteacher in a UK Specialist Technology College
Rosemary Patey started her career in education in 1978. She is committed to working in an 11-18 school and particularly enjoys teaching 14-19 year olds, seeing them learning, developing as individuals and fulfilling their potential. Rosemary has taught in three schools including a year in New Zealand. In her current role she is an Assistant Headteacher in a Specialist Technology College, where she is responsible for Student Experience and New Technologies.

International practice and the high school curriculum
This presentation focuses on the courses available to schools, including A level and the International Baccalaureate. It identifies the challenges and benefits that these courses create for schools as well as suggesting how a school might enhance the curriculum by including an international dimension. Finally the presentation gives an example of how an international enrichment activity enables students to learn, develop new skills and work as a team.
