马万华教授/主任，毕业于吉林大学外语系，曾就职于哈尔滨工业大学和山东大学外语系。 1987-1997间，在美国康奈尔大学学习和工作，分别获得该校教育学硕士和哲学博士学位。回国后,先后从事中美高等教育治理，高等教育心理学和高等教育国际化的教学工作。在研究方面，主持了自然科学基金委研究型大学建设分课题，国家九五，十五和高等教育学会关于大学教学改革的课题研究。

2000-2005年，先后获得美国福里曼基金会，福特基金会和富布来特基金会的课题支持，从事关于女童教育，研究型大学建设和在伯克利加州大学，东西方中心,洛杉矶加州大学，南加州大学，弗吉尼亚大学和佛蒙特大学等多所美国大学从事合作研究和讲学活动。2005/6年作为富布莱特新世纪学者从事“二十一世纪的高等教育：全球化与国家回应”的课题国际合作研究，并出版了相关论文。2007-2008年，她受欧盟伊拉斯.孟德斯项目和和德国DAAD项目资助，分别在德国和芬兰进行讲学和从事合作研究。目前正在从事的课题研究包括国际学生流动，国际高等教育的区域性整合和中国世界一流大学建设的国际化战略研究。
